SUMMARY:Time Pressure Decision Making for Defence and Governmental Bodies
DESCRIPTION:\n\t Overview\n\t Who will attend\n\t Trainer \n\t Case studies\n\t Partners\n\t Venue \n\t Industry Insights \n\t Brochure Download\n\n\n\nThe human mind is not a camera\, as we actively process and compare information. We engage in a variety of cognitive processes that organise and structure the information as it comes in from the external world. Information is then further interpreted and processed in ways that highly depend on the human mind and cognitive factors. As we dynamically process information\, we affect what we see\, how we interpret and evaluate it\, and our decision making process.\n\nTo enhance expert performance and understand that different factors may affect their work\, especially in a highly specialised domain\, one needs to take into account the role of the human mind and cognitive factors.\n\nThe workshop will cover brain and cognitive issues relating to decision making. It will then connect the cognitive science issues to practical and specific issues in complex decision making. The workshop will include many engaging illustrations\, as well as hands on exercises.\n\nKey Benefits of Attending This Workshop:\n\n\tBetter perceive and assess complex situation\n\tImprove decision quality\n\tAbility to function under time pressure\n\tAvoid cognitive errors and pitfalls that result in making bad decisions.\n\tUnderstand the role of human mind and cognitive factors in enhancing one’s performance\n\tExecute sound decision during tactical times\n\n \n\n\n\nThis workshop is specifically designed for Directors\, Head of Department\, Project Managers\, Staff Officers operating and managing domains that require them to make high quality decisions under pressure. This includes a whole range of domains\, such as the following fields:\n\n\tAir\, land and naval weaponry & platforms\n\tCommunications & networked systems\n\tLogistics and combat service support\n\tOperations\n\tIntelligence\n\tConcept development\n\tC4ISR\n\n \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nDr Itiel Dror\n\nCognitive neuroscientist\, Cognitive Consultants International Limited (CCI-HQ)\n\nDr. Itiel Dror is a cognitive neuroscientist. Interested in the cognitive architecture that underpins expertise\, he attained his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1994. His academic work relates to theoretical issues underlying human performance and cognition.\n\nDror's research examines the information processing involved in perception\, judgment and decision-making. He has published over 100 research articles.\n\nDr. Dror has worked with govermental bodies in many countries (e.g.\, The UK\, Netherlands\, Finland\, Canada\, U.S. and Australia) on examining expert decision making and error.\n\nDr Dror received the ABP (Association for Business Psychology) 2014 Annual Award for 'Excellence in Training' for his work in improving decision making and reducing bias in expert domains. Furthermore\, he also received the ABP Chairman's Award\, for overall recognition across all the 17 categories\, for the best achievements for 'Excellence in Business Psychology'.\n\nThe ABP Awards recognise excellence on demonstrating how applying an understanding of the science of human behaviour can impact and deliver practical value to organisations.\n\nThe judges commented that Dr. Dror's work is: "Truly outstanding and inspiring"\, "innovative\, breaking entirely new ground in a most challenging context - already being used around the world"\, and "Entirely focused on application of conceptual models - underpinned by deep research".\n\n \n\n\n\nWorkshop will include many examples\, illustrations\, demos\, and exercises. These will include:\n\n- Decision making under dynamically changing alternative choices and time pressure\n\n- Perception and analysis of complex situations\n\n- Pitfalls in command and intelligence decision making\, including tactical and operational decisions\n\n \n\n \n\n\nInterested in partnering with us?\nPlease contact us to discuss your requirements.\nClick here to get in touch with us.\n \n\n\n\nHotel venue to be confirmed.\n\n \n\n\n\n[contact-form-7 id="177" title="Time Pressure Decision Making for Defence and Government Agencies"]\n\n\n\n\n\n
