It is intended to provide guidance on the technical and operational challenges of LNG bunkering operations both from the bunker vessel’s perspective (or land-side source) and from the receiving vessel’s perspective. During his tenure with Port of Stockholm\, Ola participated in the EU funded Danish Maritime Authority (DMA) LNG-study\, the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) studies\, the EU Commission European Sustainable Shipping Forum (ESSF)\, the International Association of Ports and Harbours (AIPH)\, and World Port Climate Initiative (WPCI) LNG work group.\n\nHe was the Past Chairman of the Swedish Oil Harbours Forum (SOHF)\, organising oil ports in Sweden. SOHF together with the Swedish Petroleum Institute (SPBI) decide on regulations\, educational requirement and more on a national level.\n\nAs the Head of the Energy Ports in Ports of Stockholm\, Workshop Trainer was responsible for certifying bunkering activities in the Ports of Stockholm\, responsible for the Port By-Laws on tanker/terminal activities and overseeing the oil companies’ terminals and activities. He was also responsible for vetting the bunker tankers and barges. Workshop Trainer worked closely with the Stockholm Fire Department and National Fire research facilities (SP) on large scale fire issues and the Swedish Coast Guard on oil spill issues and research.\n\nHe held a Research position at the University of Gothenburg and was a lecturer at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers Technical University.\n\nHe was the Head and Founder of consultancy companies called Scandinavian Energy and Environment Consultants AS and Scandinavian Exploration Consultants Ltd (UK).\n\nWorkshop Trainer has worked in various countries such as Sweden\, Norway\, Denmark\, Germany\, Italy and UK on maritime related areas.\n\nWorkshop Trainer was invited to join IMarEST (The Institute of Marine Engineering\, Science and Technology) Alternative Fuels for Shipping Special Interest Group (AFFSSIG) and is still a member of the group\n\nArmed with more than 40 years in the maritime industry\, Workshop Trainer was the Head of Energy Ports at the Port of Stockholm for 13 years.
